We have Barnstaple swimming club ex coach Jim Jefferies coming to swimming over a 4 week period. His coaching sessions will start 5th October and he aims to show people the right swimming habits and introduce drills to help us swim more efficiently. This is a trial. If we have to pay for a coach as well as the pool we need around 8 swimmers per lane. So, use it or potentially loose it. We will discuss this at the AGM. A huge thanks to Iain who has tirelessly planned sessions and flogged you up and down the pool since Trevor stopped coaching. Please come and support the swimming sessions on a regular basis!

A good session this week. We went through the drills that will turn us all into fish! Please get down and experience for yourselves!

Hi everyone... I recently moved to North Devon from Brighton and I'm looking to join in with a bunch of outdoorsy fitness fanatics... I've done a few triathlons before, I'm not particularly interested in racing, I just love running, cycling and sea swimming, but want to improve my stroke so I know I've got to get in the pool and do some drills! No doubt I'll get the racing bug again... Is it ok just to come along one Sunday for a swim session to see what its like? Best wishes, Josie

Hi Josie Hopefully by now you may have been to one of our swim sessions. If not you are more than welcome to join us on a Sunday morning. Non members are charged £6 and you pay this on poolside. At reception tell them you are here for the Tri Club Swim. You can come along for three weeks but then we politely ask that you join the club, you then benefit from swimming only costing £4 per week There is no swimming next week (14 Dec) as it is our Christmas Aquathlon. If you have any more questions please just ask. Shelly

I believe that yes, the swim sessions are age restricted. At the moment the club has no junior section (although it's being looked into). Currently the whole 'legal' side of juniors makes things very awkward for a small club...
Yes there is a swim session today at 9am. You pay poolside rather than at reception..........

I will be pool side on Sunday, please bring your pull buoy. I know not many use this forum anymore so please spread the word about the pull buoy to members, not on FB or forum, you think will be at the session. Cheers
